This quarter’s 'commercial project showcase' is the new Glenworth Valley Multi-Function Centre at Calga
We were contracted to build the $2.5M project commencing in May 2015 and the project is on track to be handed over in August this year.
Features of the project at a glance:
- Architect: Sanctum Design Consultants, James Cooper
- Structural Engineer: Northrop
- Interior Designer: Luchetti Krelle
Located in the picturesque Glenworth Valley, the function centre will provide an elegant venue for weddings, birthdays, conferences and other functions. The centre will include a restaurant with in-house catering, private function room, covered terrace, a kitchen with a cool room, a lift, a service bar and an alfresco dining area.
What we love most about this building
We love the Expression Cladding in a Sorrento profile selected for the exterior of the new function centre. With its slim, symmetrical and gently tapering lines, the Sorrento profile suits just about any style of building from heritage to contemporary and is also highly versatile with vertical or horizontal application. It is equally suitable for interior and exterior application. Click here to learn more about Expression Cladding and the Sorrento profile.
In the case of the Glenworth Valley Multi-function centre, the cladding will be applied horizontally. This will give the centre a delightfully contemporary farmhouse look and feel, without taking away the stunning surrounding architectural elements of the structure, including a crushed stone finish to the proposed alfresco dining area and polished concrete flooring throughout.
