12-Sep-2018Terrigal Renovation and Maintenance

Even a property that fetched a record sale price for Terrigal in 2011 of 6.5 Million, needs maintenance and upgrades now and then!
Our reputation for innovation and adaptability has presented us with many challenges over the years and this renovation certainly brought unique challenges including pool make-over. This exquisite tri-level residential property encapsulates glamorous, world-class design. Its exceptional cliff top location features unprecedented ocean and coastline views. The front of the home features a spacious outdoor living area and an infinity pool that merges seamlessly with the ocean views. It is a focal point of the home and would require no less than immaculate results.
Amazing pool renovation
Upgrading the pool included removing three problematic
underwater windows from the old pool and rebuilding the pool walls, including the infinity edge.
We removed the existing tiles from the entire pool plus the infinity edge with catch pool. Using blue glass mosaic tiles, we retiled the pool giving it a new lease on life. Consistent blue toned mosaic tiles rather than the multicoloured mosaic tiles of the old pool created clean lines and consistency across the entire surface while maintaining that ‘premium finish’ that tiled pools have a reputation for!
Challenges overcome:
We were working around existing structures, including the tiled outdoor living area and we removed and reinstalled the glass panel fencing around the pool. Leaving the site immaculate as we found it and with a fresh new pool was an outstanding result. The owners were impressed with the upgrade of the pool and the seamless project delivery.
Let the sun shine in!
The renovations on this property also included installing
a new trafficable skylight. A glass roof is the perfect way to bring natural light into the home and enhance its green rating also!
Trafficable glazing skylights are fast becoming a popular architectural feature. It adds a unique aspect to a room and maximises natural light along with creating a sense of space.
Facing the elements
Essential maintenance was undertaken to keep this property immaculate and protect the home exterior from the harsh coastal elements. The home’s ocean-side escarpment position exposes the exterior surfaces to the harsh wind-driven rain and salt mist that can erode the paint.
MudgeCorp repainted the entire exterior of this tri-level home restoring it to its brand-new immaculate condition.
