Bespoke Killcare Re-build
Renowned for her simple, contemporary designs that stem from the tradition of mid-twentieth century modernism and are updated for an environmentally aware twenty-first century, local architect, Dianna Thomas designed the home at Killcare we are currently working on.
The home spans 4 storeys and features numerous decks over multiple levels to capture breathtaking views over Killcare Beach and the surrounding Bouddi National Park. The house also features a cool room designed to cellar wine at an optimal temperature as well as an internal lift.
Team on project:
Project Manager: Liam Cox
Site Manager: Andrew George
Architect: Dianna Thomas
The home is situated on a ‘Flame Zone’ Bushfire prone allotment. This has resulted in the need for careful consideration in terms of materials and building methodology adopted to ensure compliance is achieved whilst also achieving a high-end architectural finish.
This project has given us the opportunity to work with INEX Renderboard Cladding for the first time. Specified to clad the external façade of the house, the product is a high strength, light weight cladding that offers an excellent surface for render coating whilst also meeting the property’s stringent Flame Zone bushfire requirements. We are so impressed with the product that we have featured INEX Boards as this quarter’s Design Inspiration.
